Indoor

Jiangxi Olympic Sports Center Indoor Track & Field Arena is a high-standard indoor athletics venue located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. With a total construction area of around 19,000 ㎡, it features a large-span steel grid roof of 75.6 meters, a 200-meter indoor circular track and complete field-event facilities. Designed for national-level and regional track-and-field competitions as well as daily professional training, the huge enclosed space brings great challenges for acoustic reinforcement
1. Acoustic simulation: LAX Sound-Director 3D acoustic simulation software was used in the design phase to calculate sound-pressure distribution, reverberation time and speaker aiming angles, optimizing array layout in advancelaxaudio.
2. Optimized speaker deployment: main line-arrays cover grandstands; field-fill cabinets serve the inner competition area; delay speakers fill marginal zones, forming multi-zone layered coverage to avoid over-spill and echo.
3. System redundancy: dualnetwork audio transmission with backup amplifiers and signal routing. Critical audio paths adopt hot-standby mode.
4. Digital signal tuning: precise EQ, delay and filtering were applied on-site to control reverberation, enhance speech clarity and balance SPL across every zone of the hall.
After commissioning, the whole venue achieves even sound-pressure distribution. Speech intelligibility meets national standards for sports buildings. Announcements, referee instructions and commentary can be heard clearly in grandstands, running tracks and field-event zones. The system switches smoothly between competition mode and performance mode. It runs stably during formal tournaments and daily training, fully meeting the functional requirements of this high-level indoor track-and-field arena
