The Sultan Ibrahim Stadium—located in Iskandar Puteri (Forest City), Johor, Malaysia—is a state-of-the-art, FIFA 2-star certified football stadium and the proud home of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT). Opened on 22 February 2020, it replaces the historic Larkin Stadium and stands as a symbol of modern sports architecture in Southeast Asia. Designed with a distinctive “banana leaf” form and illuminated by dynamic red/blue/white LED lighting (reflecting the Johor state flag), the stadium accommodates 40,000 spectators in an all-seater bowl without an athletics track, delivering an immersive matchday experience.

LAX was selected as the exclusive professional audio provider, tasked with overcoming the venue’s unique acoustic and environmental challenges: a large elliptical bowl with long reverberation time, high humidity, and direct exposure to tropical weather. The customized system comprises weatherproof horn-speakers, Dante digital signal processors, and redundant power amplifiers, ensuring stable operation in harsh conditions while maintaining precise sound control.
