The Beijing Shougang Ice Hockey Arena is a landmark winter sports facility transformed from the historic Shougang industrial complex, serving as an important legacy venue of the Beijing Winter Olympics. Boasting a total construction area of 25,600 m² and a seating capacity of 5,000, the arena houses an 1,800 m² international standard ice rink, which can host ice hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating, and curling competitions, as well as a wide range of cultural and public events.
To address the unique acoustic challenges of the indoor ice rink environment, including high reflectivity and the need for precise sound control, LAX engineered a customized sound reinforcement system. The system is designed to deliver consistent sound pressure levels, clear speech intelligibility, and stable audio performance across all audience areas, meeting the demanding requirements of professional winter sports events and large-scale activities.
This project marks another milestone for LAX in supporting high-profile international sports venues, demonstrating the brand’s proven capability in providing reliable, high-quality audio solutions for specialized indoor sports facilities.
